- Snowshoeing – Snowshoes are an incredible invention that make walking on fresh and deep snow far simpler than in regular shoes. You can buy your own snowshoes or rent. Simply slip your winter boots into the snowshoes, cinch everything down, and go on your way. Depending on how fresh the snow is, it can be an intense workout. Don’t underestimate snowshoeing!
- Sledding – A fun activity for people of all ages, sledding is an exciting way to enjoy the cold weather right in your neighbourhood. All you need is a sled and a hill, and you’ll be flying through the snowflakes in no time!

- Walking – Whether you decide to walk through the neighbourhood after a fresh snowfall or hike through the forest trails, walking is a great way to get some winter exercise. It’s a leisurely activity, allowing you to move at your own pace. If you’re passionate enough, you can invest in some proper winter gear for warmer and more comfortable walking.
- Skating – Skating is a classic winter activity that has been around for centuries! Skating can be done indoors or outdoors. If the weather outside is frightful, most communities have an indoor arena that is likely to have a skating rink. You can also skate on a public outdoor rink or through a forest path. It can sometimes be a bit of a waiting game but if you’re in a fishing hut, you can be nice and cozy with a cup of hot cocoa.
